Someone save our Football Club.
Someone save our Football Club
An emergency worldwide broadcast by Hammer and Talk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTMq562jAQs

I C&P a comment made by Johnson 2:58 Sat Oct 21;

“…the heart fell out of the Club, the manager and the players the minute we left (Boleyn Ground, Upton Park).

That final season was so strong and emotionally charged, it was almost the crashing end of a euphoric drug fuelled orgy.

We whacked as much of the stuff up our hooter as we could and it for a change rewarded us that season. Suddenly our dealer had gone and the new shit ain’t as good.

I reiterate, football is not about 11 highly paid robots on the pitch.

It’s about a Club mentality, it’s about the same old faces, it’s about the hundreds of local or otherwise (regardless of ethnicity) members of support and catering staff who made it tick, it’s about taking your feedback at source positive or negative, it’s about them being on top of you (less so lately but despite our internal negative view enough players from oppo have said now they don’t miss it must you divs realise) it’s about the community, it’s about pride.

We don’t have any of that anymore. That affects the team, absolute fact.

West Ham ain’t been that good in my 30 years of supporting them with nigh on 20 home and away. Did I ever doubt the club during that time? Rarely as we had a common cause.

The move to the OS has ripped that apart.

Do not forget the hundreds of stewards, security guards, receptionists, hotel staff, grounds men who were probably all West Ham fans before they joined and if not were after a few years.

Fucking loads of them made redundant, which was the board goal all along.

This is worst ever situation our Club has ever been in.

No heart, no passion, no history, no pride, no loyalty, no soul.

Berks Inc (THE THREE PLANKS, Gold, Sullivan & the Duchess of Knightsbridge) and their supporters did this to us.”

miike - Oh come on mate, sorry but that is a complete nonsense. There have always been dodgy characters running football clubs, if anything there are a lot less now than back in the day.

Re: Someone save our Football Club.
I don't think or feel that WHU are in a position where we need "saving" unless what is really meant is keep us up, prevent relegation.

There would be none of this tart like reaction if we were putting in decent performances and results.

I just don't see the issue with selling popcorn, if we stayed at UP and started selling popcorn nobody would give a bollocks.

Re: Someone save our Football Club.
It goes like this......

1. They OWN it.

2. Most supporters know this so protest and the like will not make them leave their investment, it's what will catapult them into probably being billionaires and hence will stick out any revolt from their customers knowing the main chunk will stay loyal and their investment will grow.

3. The only way to hurt them is for the WHOLE support to stay away even those on the 'massive' waiting list.

4. The reason Johnson stopped going was because he knows like the rest of us that won't happen hence he's thrown it in himself (not a dig at Johnson) as you cannot get blokes in a habit of going football to stop in mass.

Re: Someone save our Football Club.
They have no ambition to take this club forward, that should be crystal clear. The business model is 17th place and anything more is a bonus. Relegation? No problem Just cash in on Lanzini, Antonio etc and gamble that we bounce back.
They have and will continue to treat the fans with utter contempt. They know we are loyal and can be sold on false promises. They have no intention of sacking Bilic or buying anyone else of quality this season because they are probably looking to sell us on anyway and don’t want to sink any more money in than is essential.

The club is slowly dying under their stewardship and it’s sad to see.

stoneman's last posting was on 12 September. I think even he can't defend Bilic anymore, unless he has a new user name.

Re: Someone save our Football Club.
a week ago yes only a week ago ten men put on a hell of a performance at Burnley and were very unlucky not to come away with all three points at turf moor ,football in 2017 is far too reactionary to one result fired up by the likes of talksport and sky, it's a long season and we are far from finished yet ,a better manager would get far more out of the present group of players .

There is nothing new about that article to the people on WHO. We read this stuff by a handful of posters, again, and again, and again, and again ad infinitum.

Twitter reacts: West Ham fans turn on owners after shock 3-0 defeat
by Christy Malyan

When West Ham moved to the London Stadium, the fans were promised star-studded signings, gorgeous football, European fixtures and all the trimmings.

But if anything, David Gold and David Sullivan’s decision to leave Upton Park behind and open a new chapter in the club’s history has taken the Hammers backwards. They just about avoided a relegation dogfight last season and a top ten finish is already looking beyond them this term after a dismal start to the campaign.

After a shock 3-0 defeat at home to newly-promoted Brighton on Friday night, the east Londoners now find themselves in 17th place and will fall into the relegation zone if Leicester City beat Swansea this weekend.

While plenty have vented their frustrations at manager Slaven Bilic, a significant section of West Ham fans believe the problems stem further than that.

Indeed, many are pointing the finger at Gold and Sullivan as well as Karen Brady. Here’s a look at some of the reaction from Twitter…

Darren Chapman
Wish Gold, Sullivan and Brady would take themselves, Bilic and that stadium out of my club!

Lewis John E
It really feels like Sullivan and Gold want us relegated. Why would you not learn from your mistakes? Avram Grant spring to mind?

steve makin
Sullivan and gold need hounding out of our club. They are the ones to blame.#parasites

steve clayden
Gold,Sullivan,Brady you have made mega money from our club and are trying to kill our soul. That will never happen. Clear off now all of you

c dawg
David Sullivan @davidgold and @karren_brady getting exactly what they deserve. Sold the soul of @WestHamUtd now seeing effects #allaboutthem

Ian Webber
@davidgold Bilic out. While you are at it, Brady can go too. Oh and you and Sullivan can follow. Ripped the soul out of the club. #whufc

Mike Cawston
As much as Slav needs to go, nothing will really change until Sullivan sells. Lie after lie has meant discord between club and fans. #whufc

Glenn White
A huge part of me wishes @davidgold and Sullivan never put a penny into the club. You have been bleeding us dry ever since. #WHUFC

Re: Someone save our Football Club.
While disastrous results are achieved at the London Stadium, the Baroness of Knightsbridge has time to put Jamie Carragher in his place…

Karren Brady brands Jamie Carragher a comedian

http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/10/21/karren-brady-brands-jamie-carragher-a-comedian/

I C&P;

““But he is rather a comedian when he suggests Liverpool cannot secure the players, the consistency or, by implication, the manager to repeat the league triumph they last achieved 27 years ago — when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister.
“They don’t have much time for Mrs Thatcher on Merseyside and nor will they for Carragher if he goes on like this.
“There are many objections to be made, the obvious one is nothing is set in stone, as Leicester proved so satisfyingly only 18 months ago.””

The PROMISES made by the Baroness of Knightbridge of re-tractable seating, comes to mind for some reason… As well as, the five year plan for European football, was it Champions League? Easier to sign better players, BUT the Baroness finds time to write columns in The Sun criticising former International players... I wonder why?
